Tyler Heeter
Owner
A native of the small town of Troxelville, Pennsylvania, Tyler Heeter holds an Associate of Science degree in Wildlife Technology from Penn State DuBois (2013) and a Bachelor of Science degree in Wildlife and Fisheries with a minor in Forestry Ecosystem Science from Penn State University’s main campus (2015).

A passionate outdoorsman, Tyler is an avid hunter and trapper who enjoys sharing his knowledge of wildlife and habitat management with family and friends. His family owns 500 acres of mountain land that has been carefully managed for both wildlife conservation and timber value. Tyler has a strong passion for enhancing wildlife habitat for a variety of small and big game species, with a particular interest in white-tailed deer.

He is an active member of the Quality Deer Management Association (QDMA) and practices Quality Deer Management (QDM) on his family’s property. He has also assisted other private landowners in achieving their land and wildlife management goals. His strategies include habitat improvement, food plot development, mineral site management, and maintaining a balanced buck-to-doe ratio. Tyler also emphasizes the importance of predator control as part of a holistic approach to wildlife management. Introduced to trapping by his grandfather at a young age, he has been especially successful in controlling coyote populations—the primary predator of white-tailed deer.

Tyler is committed to improving the quality of Pennsylvania’s wildlife and their habitats, one private landowner at a time.
